FIELD COORDINATOR

Zehr Construction, the construction division of Zehr Group, is looking for a Field Coordinator to join our growing team. In your capacity as a Field Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting Site Supers with the day-to-day site management of construction projects as assigned. The ultimate goal is support the process of ensuring the projects are completed safely within the restraints of time, quality, and budget.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Be responsible for site paperwork such as take-offs, timesheets, delivery slips and various other site clerical duties.
  • Add data into our management software procore.com such as photos, observations, RFI’s, deficiencies, daily logs, etc.
  • Coordinate with trades and help manage flow of information, and materials and equipment.
  • Work with project team to review as built work and help track overall quality of work and deficiencies.
  • Various other tasks required to help the site superintendent and assistant site superintendent.
  • Ensuring project documentation is current, organized and flows throughout the project team efficiently.
  • Providing support as required to various other departments, including Property Management and Development.
  • Observe and practice the highest possible standard of health and safety
  • Attending weekly Foreman’s Meetings, taking Minutes of the Meeting and distributing to participants within 3 business days.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in high rise residential condominium construction or related field
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations (OHSA) in the workplace
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Customer service skills – professional presentation, reliable, accountable, conflict resolution abilities
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, as well as working independently
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades functions such as carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. is a requirement, as is knowledge of various tools and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Teams
  • General understanding of Procore construction software would be beneficial

Compensation will be based on experience, education, and performance. Expenses will be paid on a monthly basis for car mileage in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency regulations. Other related work expenses are to be approved. The regular office hours are from Monday to Friday. Compensation is based on a 44-hour work week. The successful candidate will be entitled to participate in any and all of the Company’s group insurance plans and any other benefit programs (the “Employee Benefits”) which may be in effect for all employees of the Company during employment.
