SITE SUPERINTENDENT
Zehr Construction, the construction division of Zehr Group, is looking for a Site Superintendent to join our growing team. In your capacity as Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Construction Site Management as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Skill set in general labour; knowledge of materials, methods, and tools in construction of buildings
- Sound knowledge of full cycle construction site practices and procedures
- Proficient in time management
- Collaborative with other employees/crew based on task demands and interfacing with the client
- Knowledge of workplace safety, safe operation of tools, and safe lifting/handling
- Ability to read drawings and specifications is an asset
- First Aid/CPR is an asset
- Access to vehicle to travel between job sites
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong management skills and ability to motivate employees.
- Effective organizational, communication and client relations skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
- Ability to pass background checks including pre-employment drug screening.
- Availability to work nights/weekends as needed.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
Compensation will be based on experience, education, and performance. Expenses will be paid on a monthly basis for car mileage in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency regulations. Other related work expenses are to be approved. The regular office hours are from Monday to Friday. Compensation is based on a 44-hour work week. The successful candidate will be entitled to participate in any and all of the Company’s group insurance plans and any other benefit programs (the “Employee Benefits”) which may be in effect for all employees of the Company during employment.v
