Vidyard at 8 Queen

Zehr Group served as General Contractor for multiple office projects for Vidyard, supporting the company’s rapid growth within downtown Kitchener.

One of the key projects involved a 30,000 square foot, three-storey tenant fit-out at 8 Queen Street, where our team transformed the historic building into a dynamic workplace reflecting Vidyard’s distinctive brand and culture. The space features a raw, industrial design aesthetic with exposed brick and structure, alongside unique elements such as a large meeting room constructed from two shipping containers, metal coil room partitions, and a library space with full-height bookshelves and sliding ladders.

Prior to this expansion, Zehr Group also completed an 8,500 square foot office fit-out at 119 King Street West within the Simpson Block, designed by Thinkform Architecture + Interiors. This project connected the third and fourth floors through a new internal convenience stair, creating an open office environment with lounge areas, meeting rooms, and glass partitions while highlighting the building’s exposed structure and industrial heritage.

Together, these projects demonstrate Zehr Group’s experience delivering creative workplace environments within historic downtown buildings, helping innovative companies like Vidyard scale their operations while maintaining a unique and collaborative office culture.
