New Beginnings - Beyond Housing

Zehr Group is currently serving as General Contractor for New Beginnings, a new affordable housing development at 887 Frederick Street in Kitchener. The project is being delivered for Beyond Housing, a local organization focused on creating safe and stable homes for individuals and families in need.

The development will introduce 20 stacked townhouse units, designed to provide secure, affordable, and supportive housing for women and families in the community, including referrals from Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.

As General Contractor, Zehr Group is responsible for coordinating the full construction process, including structural construction, and trade coordination, while working closely with the project team and community partners. The project represents an important investment in much-needed affordable housing within Waterloo Region, helping create stable homes and new opportunities for families seeking a fresh start.

Once complete, New Beginnings will provide a welcoming residential environment designed to support long-term stability and community integration for its future residents.
