Sylk Towers - Phase 1

We worked as the Construction Manager for Phase 1 of SYLK Towers, a new purpose-built rental development located at 3241 King Street East in Kitchener. The project is being delivered by Vive Development, forming part of a multi-phase community that will ultimately introduce over 1,000 new rental homes to the region.

The first tower delivered 304 purpose-built rental units, designed to provide high-quality and more attainable housing options within Waterloo Region. The building also incorporates sustainability strategies, exceeding building code requirements for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction while operating as a fully electric residential building.

As Construction Manager, Zehr Group led the project’s pre-construction planning, trade coordination while working closely with the project team to advance the tower through active construction. Our team coordinated procurement, construction scheduling, site logistics, and the integration of a precast structural system that supports efficient high-rise delivery.

Through this work, Zehr Group is helping deliver a major addition to Kitchener’s housing supply while demonstrating our capability to manage large-scale, multi-phase residential developments from pre-construction through execution.
