Sylk Towers - Phase 1

We worked as the General Contractor for Phase 1 of SYLK Towers, a new purpose-built rental development located at 3241 King Street East in Kitchener. The project is being delivered by Vive Development, forming part of a multi-phase community that will ultimately introduce over 1,000 new rental homes to the region.

The first tower delivered 304 purpose-built rental units, designed to provide high-quality and more attainable housing options within Waterloo Region. The building also incorporates sustainability strategies, exceeding building code requirements for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction while operating as a fully electric residential building.

As General Contractor, Zehr Group led the project’s pre-construction planning, trade coordination, and construction management, working closely with the project team to advance the tower through active construction. Our team coordinated procurement, construction scheduling, site logistics, and the integration of a precast structural system that supports efficient high-rise delivery.

Through this work, Zehr Group is helping deliver a major addition to Kitchener’s housing supply while demonstrating our capability to manage large-scale, multi-phase residential developments from pre-construction through execution.
